GAK!

Yet another hit from Pinterest! The girls and I made this about 6 months and they love it. We've made it several times and finally decided to make it again... with some of the neighborhood kids!

Its slimy, ooey and gooey!

Its made from 8oz Elmer's glue (when I bought this is Murray it was $4 a bottle, I found it here for $.50!) Water, Borax and food coloring.
Empty glue into a bowl, fill the glue bottle with warm water, shake and empty into container. Add food coloring to get desired colored. We have always used neon gel colors. In separate bowl dissolve 1tsp Borax in 1/2 cup water. Once dissolved add to glue mixture. Stir.

It quickly becomes goopey but keep stirring until it just spins around the bowl with the spoon. Once this happens its time to start using your hands. Haylee used her hands a little soon but it still turned out. It was just super messy!

If you have a table like this, don't leave your gak unattended. Bad things will happen...

Haylee dropped her gak in the rocks, that's why it looks like it has chocolate chips.

It is pretty cool stuff, isn't it?! It stretches forever. Its not sticky and it washes out of everything we've left it sitting out on. Even clothes. Its made of glue and laundry detergent so it better wash! ;)

Maycie has made a new best friend, Alisa. Mace doesn't let her out of her sight. She follows her everywhere, she'll climb up and sit on her lap as long as we let her.
