Cowgirl!

Maycie's school is having Spirit Week this week. She gets to dress up with a different theme each day. It has made getting ready in the morning so much easier. She is so excited to get up and put on her "costume"! I think I'm going to have to come up with themes everyday just to make her more excited.

When Haylee asked why Maycie is dressing up I told her it was for Spirit Week then I asked her if she knew what that meant, she said "Its when all the spirits get up and get dressed again cause people don't get dressed after they die. Then the spirits get to have fun again!" I tried explaining Spirit Week but after her explanation I really didn't know what to say; I kinda like her version more.

The girls are in two different school districts, that's why only Maycie's school is dressing up this week. I can't wait to see the meltdown she has when Haylee gets to dress up!

Monday: Western Day

 

Tuesday: Sports Day

 

Wednesday: Hawaiian Day

 

Thursday: Duck Dynasty Day

I can't even begin to describe how excited I am for this day!!!!!!

We went to Minot on Saturday (I'll post about that next!) so us girls could get new shoes. It was perfect that Maycie picked out cowboy boots! We stopped by Hobby Lobby and got all the extra add ons for her outfits for the week.

 

I told Maycie that cowgirls like to have their hair braided and she said she would let me braid hers. I didn't think she would sit still enough but she did excellent! She loved them! All day she would run over to me and say "Thank you mom for braiding my hair!" She didn't even want to take the braids out at bedtime! 

 

Our neighbor Kennedy goes to the same school as Maycie and we car pool together. Look at how adorable these two are!
