A few more pictures

I forgot to add these in. Haylee and I made this surprise maze thing for Maycie on her birthday. She was sleeping in my bed so we had the long hallway to decorate!

This is a picture of Haylee on her 6th birthday and Maycie on her 5th birthday wearing the same outfit! Pretty cute!

When we went to Bismarck we stopped at an overlook in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. It's only been onour North Dakota Bucket List for 3 years!

Ok, I think that's all for now.

Haylee girl

Here are some pictures of Haylee... mostly of her hair because she likes to see a picture her hair everyday before she goes to school.

She was really frustrated one morning and doesn't want to finish brushing her hair. We've been working on dealing with natural consequences to her actions. This is something her therapist has us work on. It's REALLY hard!!! The idea is to get her to realize that her choices matter. She can't just say that she doesn't care or doesn't want to choose. Things like ... If she doesn't brush her hair, then people will probably laugh at her. Or if she doesn't brush her teeth then she'll get cavities again and those hurt. Or people could tell her that her breath stinks. Did I mention that this is a HARD thing?! When she chooses not to do something, I'm supposed to support her decision.

So, on this particular morning she didn't want to finish brushing her hair. She said she didn't care. I am not about to send her to school without having something done to her hair... so I reminded her off the potential consequence. Once again she didn't care that people would laugh. I finally took this picture and showed her. When she saw it she started laughing and said she didn't think brushing her hair made it look different but with this picture she saw it looked completely different.

Needless to say, she finished brushing her hair and was only slightly late to school.

I don't remember if I've shared this picture yet. Haylee has been learning about living and non living things in science. They had to draw a picture of each. She drew Bronco as the living and his food and water as non living. Pretty good huh!

Another cute hairdo.

We went to Bismarck with the young women last week.  While they were eating lunch we ran over to Old Navy to get some jeans. It was safety week so the girls were able to climb in an ambulance, play with safety equipment and take a picture as a fire fighter. They also got loads of free coloring stuff.

That's all for now.

May Moo Moo

I have a few pictures from the last week or so to share.

This first one is Maycie and I hanging out in the car while Haylee was in a doctor appointment.

Her hair kept trying to flip over to the other side of her head. That's why it looks like she has bangs. She so stinkin cute!

When Bronco gets tired of chasing his tail around he takes a break on the nearest comfy thing around. Just so happened to be Maycie this time.

I drew tattoos on Maycie... they're supposed to be hello kitty tattoos but they look a little creepy.

Maycie had jammy day at school on Monday. I LOVE jammy day because things aren't as stressful in the morning. As we were sitting in the parking lot at school I told her I love jammy day and she said "me too because we sleep all day at school!"

She got this doll for her birthday. She takes her everywhere! After putting her own hair in a ponytail she had to make the dolls hair match.

The end.

Maycie is officially 5!

Birthday breakfast!

Some of my favorite kids ever!

I found this post on my phone that had never been posted.. I think I was going to add a bunch more pictures but never did. These are all from last summer!

Dallas and Porter Pooh
Butt Head and the cutest, happiest little kid in the world!

After a play date with Elizabeth!
Katie, Maycie, Charlotte, Bella and Haylee.

We made masks, jumped on the trampoline, played in the sprinklers and had such a fun day! I wish we lived closer because these girls get along so well and always have so much fun together!

Haylee always says these girls are
Best Friend Cousins
"Best" because they're more than just regular friends.
"Cousins" because Elizabeth and I have known each other or whole lives.

I think Charlotte was completely confused by what was going on when we said to make silly faces!

And here is my stinking adorable niece Bailey! I just love her to death! She's so funny and she still thinks I'm cool.

First day of (the 3rd year) preschool. YAY!

How adorable is she?!!

Year 3! I think this might actually be the year she passes preschool and gets to move on ;)

Maycie got a hair cut!

She loves it!!!

Maycie's summer pics!

Here are some pictures of Maycie this summer! I'm sure you've seen some of these, but you get to see them again!

First up, golfing! This was for Brets birthday but Maycie was out of school for the summer so this was the kickoff to her summer break!

Maycie and I had to drive to Minot for something. I don't remember what, but she "read" Boxcar Children.

Once again, I never want to forget what the girls eyes look like. I love when I have one on one time with them because that's when I get to just stare at them without distractions.

On the way home from Minot, she fell asleep.  It looked so uncomfortable! (I was sitting at a stop light when I took this picture!)

She was teaching Alphie, our robot, how to do push ups.

Oh, this was from memorial day. We cleaned off headstones. Haylee and I were on grass and dirt duty while Maycie was on wipe duty.  I was really surprised how much the girls enjoyed it. They keep asking when we can go back.

So here we are to our color run 5k. Maycie was a little champ and ran the first mile without stopping. Luckily we were there with some friends; she just took off with some of them and left us in the dust!

Oh and our baby bronco tried walking but he was too slow...and sleepy.

She also learned how to put ponytails in her hair. She's so proud of herself!

While at the park the girls found some other kids to play hide and seek with. This was Maycie's BRILLIANT hiding spot. After everybody but Mace had been found, they all started looking for her and they still couldn't find her!  Eventually she just stood up.

This was the girls first sleepover with a friend! They were all so excited!

The little ones woke up way before Haylee so they enjoyed a huge breakfast of corn pops!

Dallas, Jessica and their kids came to visit! It was probably the coolest thing to ever happen in North Dakota!

They were so much fun to have around! (Even though I wasn't around much...I spent the week at girls camp and they stayed home and did my job!)

This was a girls camp bandana that I bright home for Mace.  She still wears it!

Upside-down lip syncing. Try it!

This is from our trip to Yellowstone. We're at Old Faithful...watching it fizzle out... long story for another day.

We spent the 4th of July at Bart and Becky's house. Maycie HATES fireworks but luckily Bart had a solution!

We had slip-n-slide time at my parents house. (No pics of the actual slide but Maycie is wearing her swim suit)

This is kinda adorable. I say kinda because this is how she sleeps all the time, stretched out taking up the whole bed. The reason this is so awesome to me is because her baby is giving her a dose of her own medicine!

And were back home, she uses this to put makeup on every time she's in my bathroom!

So, there you have it! Maycie's summer!

It's needs a little TLC and its gonna get a coat of paint; but right now,  it's just fun to have one again!
