Our fun lately

Laramie sent me a picture of him in his hammock, bare feet with palm trees in the background... so I sent him this one back.

This is Maycies super awesome Mike Tyson skin tattoo!

This is from our lesson today.

A new beehive taught. She offered small candy to anybody who was willing to make the "sin" that was on the candy. If you chose the small candy then you fell off the "path". Then for the rest of the girls who didn't choose to sin, they were given a greater reward- the big candy. It was a fun lesson.  I love when they teach because they always have candy!

Now the part that so excited about, pictures from Springs surprise party yesterday! We had plans to meet up for lunch and pedicures, but when I got to the restaurant I told her I accidently took Brets wallet and needed to run home to drop it off. She rode with me and then I asked her to come inside to look at some pictures that I'd hung (but I didn't really hang any). We came inside, she saw all the decorations and balloons and thought the girls have been playing. She didn't even realize it was a surprise birthday party for her until everybody jumped out and yelled surprise! We had so much fun!

I made this toilet paper cake. Olivia (Spring's daughter) filled the toilet with "poop" frosting. Hilarious!

Here are some of the decorations I made.

The party started at 1 and at 530 we still had 3 guests!  I'm glad people felt comfortable enough to stay!

We had plans to meet at Spring's house at 6 for a bbq and game night but since Spring and Olivia were still at my house at 6 we didn't make it to their house until about 730. They taught Bret and ia new card game and we played Headbands with the girls. Both games are a lot of fun!

We left their house a little after midnight. Maycie fell asleep about 1030 but Haylee was awake the entire time!

That's all for now!

Fireman of the Year!

It was a fun night and a complete surprise to Bret! I have a video but for some reason I can't post it.

Cat in the Hat day!

Maycie is having Dr Seuss days at school. Yesterday was cat in the Hat day... but I was not allowed to call her Cat in the Hat because she wasn't wearing a hat. So she's Cat Without a Hat!

Just a bunch of pictures

Ok, ok, I know, I know...
update your blog shiann...
we want to see pictures...

I know.

I. Know.

Well finally, I'm giving you pictures! Yay!

First up, the girls wanted to have a picnic breakfast with Bronco. He normally doesn't eat at the table. In fact, he was very confused. But the girls thought it was the best thing ever!

Maycie has always loved making surprises for Haylee. We started doing things when Haylee was in kindergarten. Mace missed her so much while she was gone. She was constantly coloring pictures to give Haylee the second she stepped off the bus. Finally we decided to hang them up as a huge surprise for Haylee when she walked through the door. This was our latest. I made dotted lines for Maycie to follow and she did the rest. (Except for coloring in "HAYLEE" I did that with our new fun crayons!)

Maycie colored a picture of our family by a tree (left) I colored an alien owl (right).

Ok so I really, REALLY want a trampoline! Maycie and I spent an afternoon measuring and outlining so we could talk Bret into it. (He hates the idea but it's 3 against 1 right now.) We figured we could fit a 10'tramp and there would be a little room to get a lawn mower around it. A 12' would pretty much touch the fence and the deck! But mark my words, we're going to have something fun to play with in our backyard!
This is Maycie pretending she's jumping on our rock tramp.

One of the benefits of working all night is I get to see the sun come up.  This is from about 10 days ago. It's amazing how fast things are changing. Now it's so light that the street lights have all turned off by the time I head home. It's going to be summer soon!!! (I say that so I don't get too sad about the 6 inches of snow we have)

This was my personal superbowl party. It was exciting. Go Broncos!

We've now made it to this stage in Haylee's life. She thinks she's hilarious.

Yeah, laugh all you want.
She does.

Maycie is a goose. That's all.

Ummmm can you say traumatized?! That's a grey hair. From my head!

The girls love to work on word things together. I made a "key" Haylee writes a secret message and Maycie decodes it. This keeps them busy for at least an hour.

This is when I chopped Haylees hair off!

Just Bronco. Sitting on the couch.

I catch the girls standing in these windows all the time. This evening they stood there for the longest time talking about the sunset. It was really colorful!

That's me. Blowing a bubble.

Maycie was teaching me how to write my name. Isn't it adorable?! She does dots for me all the time.

And that's all for now. Enjoy.

First day of Thanksgiving break!

It snowed!! This is what one of our "big storms" looks like. The girls and the dogs loved playing in it!

This is Zeus. He's our friends dog. Bronco stayed at his house when we were in Salt Lake. Now Zeus is with us for Thanksgiving.

After the girls were done playing outside they wanted something to warm them up. Hot cocoa and carmel popcorn. I have no idea why.  I'm pretty sure Maycie has never even had carmel popcorn. It's not something we usually have just sitting around. So we decided to make some. Luckily I had all the ingredients! This is the batch that burned. The girls were more than happy to pick through it to get some good pieces. The other batch is cooling right now. It's perfect!

That's all for now.
