Grandma and grandpa came to visit!

Grandma and grandpa came to visit us during their spring break. We were all so excited but I think I may have been overly excited! This was the first time they've been to North Dakota! A few hours before their plane landed we had a big rain storm with tons of wind...and this huge rainbow over our building. I was afraid their flight would get canceled... since that happens here. A lot. But it didn't!

The girls made their own welcome posters. Maycie needed a little help ;)

Finally after waiting all day it was time to go to the airport! We parked on the road and watched their plane land then rushed inside.

I wanted to cry I was so excited! We had so much fun while they were here. My mom spent a day Haylee at her school. They even got to ride the bus together.

My dad spent a day at Maycies school teaching them how to make pinch pots.

This is Maycie and her best friend Isabelle.

After spending the week in North Dakota we loaded up in the car and headed to Utah for easter!

Easter with the Williams

I know it's taken me forever to finish posting pictures from our Easter trip but I'm going to try really hard to get them all up today!!

Brets mom does an Easter egg hunt for the kids on Easter Sunday. The girls love it because they get to go out first!

This is Haylee, Maycie and Kamryn.

Kaydon, Maycie and Kamryn.

The whole clan!

Jack jack loves bubbles

Maycie got a lawn mower that blows bubbles from the Easter Bunny. She's wanted one of these for months!

She learned, the exciting way, that Jack Jack loves bubbles!  He would jump so high to catch them. I didn't know he could still jump that high! Playing with bubbles makes him seem like a little puppy again.

Time capsule

My family started a really cool tradition 15 ish years ago; we made time capsules! We have two. We leave them "buried" for 10 years but because we have two we get to open one every five years.

This year we opened one!

We were a little slow at closing this one 10 years ago. It was supposed to be closed in 2005 but didn't actually get sealed until 2007. I had things from 2005 then added stuff right before we sealed it. It's crazy to see how much had changed between 2005 and 2007! I met Bret, got married, had Haylee. I love looking at the pictures I haven't seen in 10 years! We all filled out questionnaires which were fun to read.

Since we emptied one capsule we have to fill it with new treasures to open in 2025! Holy smokes!!! 2025! Bret will be 49, I'll be 40, Haylee will be 17 and Maycie will be 14. That is so weird to think about!

Mike wrote a letter in Chinese and we all signed the back. (Mike is so awesome! The kids love him!)

Lar Lar put this Halloween costume in the time capsule. We were all sad when it went in because there have been many costume contests win with this costume!

I'm excited to open our next time capsule in 2020!

If you had a chance to save something for 10 years, what would itbe??

Day 1

The first night we were in Bountiful we spent at Dallas and Jessicas house. Maycie was so excited to hold baby Porter. She wanted to take him everywhere.

This is Maycie washing and drying B's hair.

And Haylee styled Uncle Dallas' hair!

I don't know why I didn't get any pictures of Camden but he was there, I promise!

Mikes Chinese food

My parents have 2 exchange students living with them this school year.

Mike and Annette.

Mike is from China.

 Annette is from Norway.
I think.
I can't ever remember.

Anyway, here is some food Mike bought at the Chinese market. Read the English translations.

Vegetarian meat??

Fried Gluten!

Driving home

This is a picture I took while driving back to North Dakota.

I really like it!

Moving day

Right after getting home from Utah we packed up our apartment and moved into our new home!

When Bret took Laramie to the airport at 7am we didn't have a single thing packed. By 7 that night we were moved into our house and completely exhausted!

We had 4 guys from Brets work helping us move. We couldn't have done it without them!

The barbie house was one of the first things to make it to the new house. The girls went straight downstairs and played for hours!

After playing all day, Haylee needed a nap. This is our living room/kitchen/dining room.

This is the girls room.

This is the guest room. Bret and I slept in the guest room for the first few nights because our new bed hadn't been delivered yet. It's here now but I don't have any pictures of our room.

So there you have it. A little taste of our new home. We're still shuffling things around a bit but for the most part everything is in its place.

P.s. I can't wait to get patio furniture!!

Silly Maycie

This is the process we go through to get a cute picture...

Kids Day Out

Williston has an annual FREE fair for kids. It's called Kids Day Out and it's AWESOME! This year there were about 100 different booths/tables the kids could visit and do activities. There were 8 bouncy houses. Scooby-Doo was even there!  Everything but lunch was free... Lunch was a hot dog, chips and soda for only $1! Awesome, right?! I love how family oriented this town is. I've never lived in a place like this before. There is always something going on for kids.

The girls had their picture taken with Scooby-Doo for the news paper!

B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse) was there giving out tattoos and pencils.

They played pin-the-patch-on-the-biker and posed on the bikes for pictures.

Next stop was the firefighters. Maycie just walked around to all the firefighters there and told them her dad was a firefighter but she wouldn't try using the fire hose. Haylee was more than excited to try!

There was a cow milking contest...with a fake cow :)

There were police officers there, sheriff's trucks and garbage trucks that kids could climb in. Gymnastics stations where they could play. Face painting booths, fishing booths, photo booths. Pretty much everything a kid could ask for. It was awesome!

P.S. When we got home we watched a thunderstorm roll in, thanks to our new big windows!
