Maycie found an M&M in her car seat, took a bite of it and said "Mmmm this is better than normal!"

Valentine's Day
Bret spoiled us... again! He set up this surprise while we were at Haylees school for her valentine's party. He's pretty awesome.
What a month!
Holy smokes so much has been going on the last couple of weeks! After Haylees big movie party she got sick. Awful chest cold that hit hard and fast. Then Maycie got it. Same thing, hard and fast. Then I got it. Tight chest, cough and fever. In the middle of that I had to make a really hard decision. Probably the hardest one I've made. I decided to put in my two weeks notice at work. I love my job but I need to take care of things at home. I've never left a job I loved! It was such a difficult thing. I spent so much time going over it in my mind because I love my job but I know I'm needed more at home. So all that stress was adding up and Tuesday when I was climbing in bed I stepped in a puddle of water. I was so tired I just got mad at the girls for having water in my bedroom and sent them to bed. Then Wednesday when I got home from work that puddle was even bigger... and it had spread to our closet. I guess the girls didn't spill a drink! It turns out the pipe going to the outdoor faucet runs between our bedroom wall and the unit next door... and it burst. We had maintenence people here late into the night. The girls loved all the craziness! Then this morning when I woke I was in EXCRUCIATING pain in my ear. I was dizzy and nauseated. I was actually screaming and crying. I don't know if the pain woke me up or if it just hit when I sat up but it was AWFUL! I couldn't hear anything from that side. I've had lots of issues with my ears, I thought I had felt it all... apparently not. So remember how I live in the middle of nowhere, well we don't have insta-care. So after going to the ER I've learned I have an ear infection and a burst eardrum!! Worst.Pain.Ever! My ear didn't even hurt when i went to bed! I don't know how it happened so fast but I hope its a sign that our crazy month is coming to an end. I'd really appreciate some quietness!

North Dakota Beauty
May Moo Moo
Maycie loves getting her hair done. She always has! Even when she was really little she would bring me a handful of ponytails and a hair brush. This was one of her latest hairstyles. She always makes me take a picture of the back so she can see it. Someday she'll get the hang of using two mirrors to see her hair... instead of using one like a microphone!
Movie night!
Haylee hosted a movie night last night. She invited everybody from her class. That's 20 first graders! I told her not to leave anybody out and make sure everybody had an invitation. She must have taken that to heart because we ended up having 13 kids last night. Maycie, 2 kindergarteners, 8 first graders including haylee, 1 third grader and 1 fourth grader! Leave it to haylee to invite the whole school. The plan was to watch The Boxtrolls. There was no movie watching going on though! We had hot dogs, chips, carrots and pretzels for dinner. We had all sorts of candy and treats for dessert. The kids were all going wild! They had so much fun! I didn't get a picture of the whole group but here are a couple I took. We'll definitely be having movie night again!

Maycie is going to be a great mom...
I just had the following conversation with her...
Maycie: I seriously cannot wait to have babies!
Me: why?
Maycie: because I'm going to have so much fun with them. I'm going to change their diapers and feed them everyday!
Those lucky kids...
TGIF!
It's finally Friday! I love Fridays! I had to go to the store after dropping Haylee off at the bus stop. Since we were in town I talked this little girl into going to breakfast with me! Jealous?

1st grade is all work and no play
Haylee came home from school and said "mom do you know what today is?"
Me "no what?"
Haylee "the 100th day of school! It was so fun! It's also groundhog day but we're going to celebrate that tomorrow because we can't do more than one fun thing a day."
