Haylee's summer

Here are a bunch of pictures from our summer!

Enjoy!

First up,  back in June we got an adorable little fluff ball...the next morning we ran in a 5k color run!

The girls love participating in these. They always dump their bags of color on themselves right at the beginning.

Here is our adorable fluff ball! (He was nameless for about 2 weeks. We finally decided on Bronco... and he's awesome!)

After the 5k we played at the park.  While I was sitting there talking with Haylee I realize how much I never want to forget what her eyes look like.  The way the blue and green mix is so cool! I know they'll change some more so I just want to be able to see how they are, right now.

We also did loads of golfing this summer!

We played at the Alien Park all the time. ..

Have you ever lip synced upside down?? If not you need to make your kids do this! Just back and watch and you'll laugh sooooo hard!

We Took a trip to Yellowstone.

We helped finish the stairs at my parents house! Such a momentous occasion!

Chef Haylee made me lunch. It looked amazing! ...but was smothered in Tabasco sauce and parsley.

We also went to Camp Evergreen. I know it has a different name now and it's not a boy scout camp anymore,  but it'll always be Evergreen to me.

We had game night with Grandma and Grandpa and some neighbors.

Haylee found a princess dress in our storage unit.

She built a cabin out of Grandpa's bricks.

When we finally got home the girls were so excited to see our neighbor! I found about 50 selfies of them on my phone!

First day of 2nd grade!

I know I haven't posted in forever... I don't have much to say but I do have tons of pictures to share...

So here you go!

This is Haylees first day of 2nd grade! She's in a new, HUGE school! I'm kinda scared for her!

It's like we live in fairy tale land!

We've been surrounded by animals all day today! Everywhere we go!

Well, I guess it started last night with a HUGE moth fluttering around and a crazy flying spider thing in our pantry.

Then this morning we met the squirrels at the park...

They both ran up the tree so we sat down and watched this little guy for a while. He held so still!

Then these two feisty little ones caught our eyes. They would stand up like this and "dance" then run around the tree.

This is one of them standing straight up.

After the park we came home. We turned on a movie and snuggled up on the couch. I kept hearing a bird chirping, but thought it was just part of the movie. It was a movie about turkeys so of course bird chips made sense, right?! Well the movie ended but the chirping continued. We used our detective skills and found this cute little guy in our garage.

Don't mind the mostly-naked child. She's harmless.

The girls were scared to get this close to a tiny bird but were more than willing to chase after those huge squirrels!

We opened the garage door so the bird could fly outside but he didn't. He circle us and landed on the door casing above our heads! The girls screamed and he flew up on to the cooler that's on top of our closet (yep, the closet we just built!)

He took a bit of encouragement but he finally spread his wings and left the nest. Leaving behind a feather to remember him by.

Who knows what animal we'll find hanging around next!

Bret's birthday!

Today is Brets birthday; I think it's the first one he's had off in years! So what did we do?... Golfing, of course!

Maycie is out of school for the summer so the three of us spent the morning together.

It's been cold and rainy here lately, just like everywhere in the country. The sky turned blue and it warmed up just in time for us to have some fun!

Brets also had his heart set on a Harley for some time now. One he could ride with the fire department guys. He really wanted one for this summer but since we bought the house, I think a Harley is going to have to wait. So... I got him the next best thing!...

And parked it in the garage so he'd see it when he came home.
